CBRE Opens New Workplace360 Office at BMO Tower in Milwaukee
The office is designed to boost collaboration through state-of-the-art technology and a variety of workspaces
Milwaukee –September 27, 2023 – CBRE opened its new 15,330-sq.-ft. office on the 18th floor of the BMO Tower located at 790 N Water St. in Milwaukee. The firm relocated to the new office from 777 East Wisconsin Avenue and 648 North Plankinton Avenue, bringing the Milwaukee staffs of its two main corporate divisions – Advisory Services and Global Workplace Solutions – to one shared space.
“The newly constructed BMO Tower provides us with a great opportunity to deliver a collaborative, experience-driven workplace that supports hybrid work,” said Emmy Murphy, Managing Director at CBRE. “Our Workplace360 office will also serve as a showpiece to help clients conceptualize flexible work strategies for their own employees.”
“We’re looking forward to bringing our CBRE Milwaukee teams together in the shared office at BMO Tower,” said Mark Wiesner, Chief Commercial Officer of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions. “The new space will enhance collaboration between our local and global teams, improving employee satisfaction and our ability to serve our clients.”
The office has around 17 different work areas including a living room, library, focus rooms, conference rooms, workstations, work benches and open collaboration areas.
New technology in the office allows for hybrid work collaboration between employees and clients, including video conference rooms. A virtual companion whiteboard – which can be used simultaneously by in-person and remote employees – allows for productive hybrid meetings, client pitch preparations and brainstorming sessions. Additionally, the office has various digital displays in the common areas to showcase announcements and facilitate events within the office.
“Our Workplace360 strategy has transformed how we work at CBRE, and our flexible approach enables our employees to thrive and deliver exceptional client outcomes,” said Peter Van Emburgh, global head of CBRE’s corporate real estate. “For new locations such as Milwaukee, we prioritize a variety of collaboration spaces and the latest technologies that complement our activity-based working environment.”
The design of the space draws inspiration from Milwaukee’s welcoming Midwestern atmosphere. In that theme, the conference rooms are named after local areas. The interior features repurposed cream city brick in the common areas, made from clay found in the Menomonee River Valley and on the banks of Lake Michigan, creating a workplace environment.
In addition to the downtown Milwaukee office, CBRE has offices in Madison and Brookfield. BMO Tower’s central 3rd Ward location offers tenants easy access to the 3rd St. Market Hall and various restaurant, entertainment and retail options. The tower will feature CBRE’s signage outside the entrance to the building facing Water Street.
