AG Kaul and State Coalition Will Continue Case Against Live Nation for Alleged Antitrust Violations
MADISON, Wis. – Attorney General Josh Kaul released the following statement regarding the ongoing antitrust case against Live Nation, which owns Ticketmaster, relating to allegations the company illegally monopolized the live entertainment industry and concert ticketing services:
“The Wisconsin Department of Justice works to advance fair and open competition, which can be an important part of keeping or making goods and services affordable,” said AG Kaul. “Wisconsin is part of a group of states that will be continuing this important litigation against Live Nation.”States continuing the case against Live Nation include Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and the District of Columbia.

PLEASE DO! I was enraged when I read that the Justice Dept. resolved this case in the middle of a trial without even informing the judge. Live Nation and Ticketmaster are a monopoly and this needs to change.
