Call for Contestants: St. Patrick’s Day Parade Bash O’ Corned Beef Eating Contest

MILWAUKEE – Westown Association and Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery are seeking contestants for the 8^th Annual Bash O’ Corned Beef Easting Contest. This year’s champion will win a Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery gift basket and two tickets to a Milwaukee Brewers game. The contest will immediately follow the noon St. Patrick’s Day Parade press conference held at The Avenue, 161 W Wisconsin Avenue on the second floor adjacent to the Plankinton Clover Apartments.

Brave contestants will duel it out to see who can eat the most corned beef sliders, provided by Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery. Each contestant will get ten sliders and will have a total of ten minutes to eat as many as they can. Last year’s winning total was just over seven sliders.

The 54^th Annual Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick’s Day Parade will return to Downtown Milwaukee on Saturday, March 14 at noon. The parade steps off on Wisconsin Avenue at Old World Third Street and will wind its way through the streets of Downtown Milwaukee, finishing at Water Street and Highland Avenue.
