Businessman & Kenosha Native Josh Pade Announces Campaign for Congress in WI-01
Pade brings deep business experience & an outsider perspective to campaign. Family ties to district date back to the 1830’s; grandmother worked as a Rosie the Riveter. Pade pledges to refuse corporate PAC money
Kenosha, WI – Businessman and Kenosha native Josh Pade today announced his campaign for Congress in Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District. Pade brings a proven record of success in business, a demonstrated commitment to public service and a deep family history in Racine County that dates back to the 1830’s.
Josh Pade launched his grassroots campaign emphasizing the struggles that hardworking Wisconsin families face every day. When Pade was only 14 his father passed away from a heart attack and his family was suddenly left without their sole breadwinner. As the oldest of three siblings, Josh worked to support the family. Shortly after his mother graduated from college at age fifty-two, she passed away from lung cancer. Rising out of these tragedies, Josh put himself through college and law school and forged a successful career in business.
Pade is running for Congress to be a voice for the many families like his that are one family death, illness or job loss away from losing everything.
“Wisconsin families are working longer hours and often multiple jobs because their wages aren’t keeping up with the skyrocketing costs of healthcare premiums, prescription drugs and childcare,” said Josh Pade. “Washington politicians have not only failed to act – they’ve actually made things worse by voting to strip protections for people with preexisting conditions, ensuring big pharma can charge whatever they want for lifesaving medicine and passing a fiscally reckless tax handout to the wealthiest Americans and largest corporations.”
Addressing the partisan gridlock in Washington, Pade said: “I am rooted in my experience as a career businessman, not a career politician. I am driven by the experience of losing both my parents too early in life, not being able to afford healthcare and working to put food on the table for my younger siblings. I know that my story is the story of so many Wisconsin families, and it’s them that I will fight for every day in Congress.”
