Braden Sets Indoor Program Record in 600m at Notre Dame Friday
Third-straight event senior has set program record in indoor
Marquette University track & field competed at two meets on Friday highlighted by Daylee Braden breaking her own indoor 600m program record at the Meyo Invite at Notre Dame.
Daylee Braden ran the indoor 600m in 1:29.75 to break her own program record of 1:30.66 she set at Grand Valley State last February.
“Marquette Track & Field had a pretty solid day today,” Bert Rogers said. “Our guys at Minnesota State had solid first day in the Heptathlon and our crew at Notre Dame really tore up the track. We had several PRs and Daylee’s record 600m was certainly the highlight. We are looking forward to getting after it tomorrow at all three meets.”
Danny Olsen finished second in the 200m at 21.63 seconds, the third-fastest 200m performance in program history.
Julia Beck ran the sixth-fastest 60h in program history in the prelims today at 8.87 seconds to advance to the final Saturday.
Cole Donahe and Gus Kasun competed in heptathlon events on day one at the Mark Schuck Multi in Mankato, Minnesota.
UP NEXT: Marquette continues competition at the Meyo Invite and Mark Schuck Multi on Saturday. The Golden Eagles also begin competition at the Lake Michigan Open, hosted by UW-Parkside, on Saturday.
