Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee Brings Fun Back to Summer
Following a challenging school year, the Clubs bring the fun back to summer for Milwaukee’s youth.
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – (June 2, 2021) – Kids and teens have navigated an extraordinary journey this past school year. Now, it’s time for fun! Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee (BGCGM) is committed to making this summer an experience that youth will never forget. As 10-year old Club member, Delara, puts it, “Every day I come here, there is joy and happiness!”
Youth who spend their summer at the Clubs will benefit from safe spaces, positive role models, and impactful programs that will help them achieve success and make healthy life choices. “Our job is to provide kids and teens with the tools, resources, and support they need to reach their full potential, and that work doesn’t take the summer off,” said BGCGM President and CEO, Kathy Thornton-Bias. “In fact, summer support is more crucial than ever given the challenges kids have faced –and continue to face—over the last 15 months.”
While the health and safety of our members and staff remains BGCGM’s highest priority, our Club staff is committed to giving youth a summer they won’t forget. Parents and guardians can learn more and enroll their children ages 4-18 at www.bgcmilwaukee.org.
