Blue Bat Kitchen Launches Brunch in the Third Ward
A cultural mash up of breakfast classics and global-inspired flavors, beginning January 19
Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria (249 N. Water Street, Milwaukee) made waves in April of 2018, opening Milwaukee’s only Tequilaria and finding inspiration in the energy and flavors of street food around the globe. This Saturday, January 19, Blue Bat Kitchen is proud to launch a unique brunch experience, creating a craveable balance between brunch staples and horizon-broadening flavors.
Every item has been crafted from personal and culinary travels around the globe, providing guests with the opportunity to engage with a dose of international flavors such as shakshuka, a ginger soy glazed pork belly bao benedict, churro pancakes with dulce de leche, a southern grit cake with seared shrimp and poblano gravy, pain perdu with mezcal chocolate, and shareable items like Jamaican banana fritters.
“Global cuisine offers so much culinary flexibility and it’s a chef’s dream to compose a menu like Blue Bat’s brunch menu,” says Hospitality Democracy Executive Chef/Vice President of Food and Beverage, Alex Sazama. “What we have captured is a snapshot of literal and adapted brunch favorites, offering our guests a wide of variety of options and flavors.”
The brunch cocktail menu is designed to highlight the breadth of flavor profiles in Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria’s 160+ bottle tequila collection. Offerings include a “Wake the Dead” iced coffee featuring housemade tequila cream and espress tequila liquer with iced Valentine coffee, a “Rising Sun” tequila cocktail with pomegranate and orange juice, along with new favorites such as the Verde Maria Bloody with a housemade tomatillo avocado base and pitchers of mimosas with guests’ choice of unique fruit juices.
Brunch will be served Saturday and Sundays from 10-3 PM. Blue Bat Kitchen is located at 249 N. Water Street in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. More information on the restaurant can be found at BlueBatKitchen.com or on its social channels @BlueBatKitchen.
