U.S. Rep. Scott Fitzgerald
Press Release

Biden Vaccine Mandate is Overreach of Power

By - Nov 4th, 2021 08:06 am

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement after President Biden finalized the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) mandate to require businesses with over 100 employees to vaccinate their workforce, submit employees to regular COVID-19 testing, or fire them.

“A COVID-19 vaccine mandate should never be pushed on the American people, but President Biden couldn’t have picked a worse time to slap his mandate on job creators as we head into the holiday season—which depends on a robust workforce.” said Congressman Fitzgerald. “This mandate is burdensome and further exasperates the labor shortage created by President Biden’s anti-work policies. Our supply chain is stretched to the breaking point, inflation is rising, and now the President has heaped yet another burden on Wisconsin businesses. I hope the 60-day compliance period provides enough time for the courts to undo what is clearly a serious overreach by the federal government and President Biden.”

BACKGROUND:

On September 10, 2021, President Joe Biden announced that he had ordered the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to enact an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) rule that would require all businesses with more than 100 employees to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or regular testing for their employees. The rule is expected to affect nearly 100 million workers.

Spoken by an expert in overreaches of power.

As always for the neoliberals, the economy is more important than peoples’ lives.

So “Scottie” is saying that some of our founding fathers, George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, should not have pushed vaccines and quarantines on soldiers and communities for smallpox and yellow fever?

What an ignorant idiot of original American history and government.

Aaron Rodgers said today that he will be forced to retire from the NFL as of January 2022 because of Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for companies with more than 100 employees.

Thanks for nothing, Joe Biden. You told us that you were against vaccine mandates last year when you campaigned for President against Donald Trump.

Joe Biden lied to us about the $15 minimum wage, a public option health care system, ending the wars in the Middle East, lower prescription drug prices, cutting the military budget, and NO VACCINE MANDATE.

    NWK –

Biden “lied”? Citations please. You made the claim, so back it up. Legit sources, of course.

It’s NOT a vaccine mandate. It’s a TESTING mandate (with a vaccine exemption) to make sure that none of your co-workers are carrying a serious disease. Nobody is forced to get vaccinated (unless they work in healthcare). Rodgers won’t be forced to get vaccinated, just tested.
