MILWAUKEE, WI – (June 27, 2022) The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum (BBCM) announces their annual fundraiser, Camp Brinn, to be held on September 15, 2022 from 6-9 PM. The event will take place at Greenhouse No.7, an event venue located at 544 S. Layton Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53204 on the Mitchell Park Domes campus. The glamping-inspired event raises crucial funds for the Museum and its mobile museum program, the Wonder Wagon.

On June 14, 2022 BBCM officially launched the Wonder Wagon and already has more than 30 stops booked for its summer tour. The Wonder Wagon expands BBCM’s service radius by more than 6900 sq. miles and allows us to serve thousands more children across southeast Wisconsin who otherwise would not be able to visit the Museum. A portion of the proceeds from Camp Brinn will help establish the Wonder Wagon Scholarship Fund, which will allow the Museum to bring its educational programming at a greatly reduced price to schools serving under-resourced children.

“We are looking forward to Camp Brinn in its gorgeous new location this September,” said BBCM Board Chair Laura Orr. “The event raises the funds necessary to operate the Museum and create exceptional programming, like the Wonder Wagon, for children across southeast Wisconsin. We hope to see you there.”

Guests will enjoy camping-inspired food and beverage stations, live music and fun games all while supporting a great cause. Tickets are now on sale and available at www.bbcmkids.org/campbrinn.

“Programs like our Wonder Wagon are essential to BBCM’s core mission of inspiring all children to wonder and explore their world,” said BBCM CEO Brian King. “Anyone who wants to support the work we do is invited to join us at Camp Brinn. It is such a fun evening where our supporters show their love for the Museum and the work we do for the community.”
