Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee Contributes to Milwaukee’s Summer Youth Employment Initiative

The AGC’s contribution will sponsor five youth participants for an entire summer program.

On July 28, 2016, the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee’s Education and Research Foundation (AGC) donated $10,000 to support the Mayor’s Earn & Learn Fund.

The Mayor’s Earn & Learn Fund is Milwaukee’s Summer Youth Employment Initiative, and is administered by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. The Fund is the largest summer youth employment program in the State of Wisconsin, and provides job readiness training to young people in Milwaukee, where they gain valuable work experience through the Community Work Experience component of the Fund. The AGC’s contribution will sponsor five youth participants for an entire summer program.

“We are very proud of our participation in this program, which makes a real difference in young people’s lives,” Mike Fabishak, CEO of the AGC stated. “We are committed to strengthening the Milwaukee Community through job creation and career development. ”

The AGC’s Education and Research Foundation was founded to promote construction industry related education and training efforts. The Foundation’s grants fund professional growth programs for AGC’s contract members, the development of technical education programs and scholarships to local scholars.

For more information on this initiative, or on the AGC’s Education and Research Foundation and how you can lend your support, please contact Mike Fabishak, at 414-778-4100 or mfabishak@agc-gm.org.
