Ald. Dimitrijevic and Milwaukee Diaper Mission to distribute diapers to those in need
14th District Alderwoman Marina Dimitrijevic will be visiting the Milwaukee Diaper Mission TOMORROW – Friday, June 25th at 10 a.m. to help distribute diapers to partner organizations and those in need. Diaper pickups will occur throughout the hour with Next Door among the organizations scheduled to arrive for items at 10:30 a.m. Media coverage is invited.
The Milwaukee Diaper Mission began operation in September of 2020 with the goal of providing a reliable source of free diapers and period products to those in need. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, one in three families struggled to afford enough diapers to keep their child clean, dry, and healthy, with the pandemic only exacerbating this issue. To date, the organization has distributed more than 115,000 disposable diapers, 78,000 period products and nearly 2,000 cloth diapers.
