Accidental Gun Discharge in Milwaukee Injures Two, Police Investigate

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday, July 4, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., in the 9600 W. Capitol Drive. The suspect was cleaning his gun when he unintentionally discharged subsequently striking the victim and himself. The victim, a 33-year-old, was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. The suspect, a 33-year-old man, was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. This incident will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for review.
