For more information, call: Laura K. at 414-258-2333 Nov. 30, 2015 For Immediate Release Get Ritzy and Glitzy at Zoological Society Boxing Fundraiser Proceeds Support Milwaukee County Zoo and Conservation Projects “Jab, jab, give ‘em a left, right, left!” Are you ready for a night of exciting amateur boxing, gourmet dining, drinks and a live voice auction? If so, register for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s 21st annual Puttin’ on the Ritz fundraiser, sponsored by Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek. This swank, black-tie event is held at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino and raised $204,652 for the nonprofit Zoological Society in 2015. The boxing ring is sponsored by Bridgewood Advisors. Amateur boxing is sponsored by Master Z’s and arranged by the Future Olympian Boxing Association. Guests include business leaders from southeastern Wisconsin. Sponsorship of a corporate ringside table of eight is $3,000. Other costs are $200 per person or $2,000 per corporate table of eight. Cost: Cost is $200 per person or $2,000 for a corporate table sponsorship or $3,000 for a corporate ringside table sponsorship (includes 5.6% WI sales tax. Of the $200 per-person cost, $80 is tax-deductible). Other details: The evening raises money for the Zoological Society and its support of the Milwaukee County Zoo. Bayou’s State, an original aerial dance/theater piece by choreographer and performer Andrea Chastant Burkholder, explores her Cajun heritage as she travels through the declining Louisiana coastline, and it’s swamps and marshlands via an aerial net, bungee cords, and trapeze. Combining personal story, aerial and modern dance, theater, and river photography by Milwaukee artist, Eddee Daniel, Bayou’s State reflects on Louisiana’s coastal land loss as it relates to the local culture and environment. Begin the evening enjoying a traditional south Louisiana meal cooked by Andrea and her Cajun father as you sit nestled between the development along the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan. Following dinner will be the performance and then light dessert and discussion with the artists. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Limited seating

Bay View Community Center (BVCC) is holding their 20th Annual Beer Tasting and Live Auction Benefit at 6:00pm on April 21, 2016 at the South Shore Yacht Club. The Bay View Community Center is a non-for-profit organization that serves individuals and families in southeastern Wisconsin. The center provides classes for children, activities for seniors, family events, and health enrichment programs for adults. Additionally, the special programs of Emergency Food, Infant Formula Pantry and Food Pantry are funded by community efforts and events such as the Annual Beer Tasting and Live Auction. As a non-profit organization, the Center’s success is truly a community effort. The theme for this year’s annual beer tasting is Craft Beer and Artisan Sausage. The dinner will feature a variety of locally made sausages, including vegetarian options, paired with craft beers and hard ciders from local and national breweries. The Milwaukee Pretzel Company has graciously donated locally made Bavarian style soft pretzels to snack on as well. Per ticket price is $45 through April 20th and tickets at the door will be $50, if available.
