St. Ann Center Indoor Market

St. Ann Center Indoor Market offers a fresh selection of organic produce and meats, jams, jellies and soups, handmade arts and crafts, soaps, lotions and seasonal decor, plus one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted jewelry. No admission charge! To start the season off on a healthy note, flu shots and cholesterol screenings will be available at the first indoor market, Nov. 12. Flu shots are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and Humana Insurance, and cost $20 for those without insurance. Free blood pressure checks will also be offered. The market is wheelchair accessible throughout, with plenty of nooks to sit and relax while enjoying a cup of coffee. Beverages, snacks and homemade baked goods will be sold by vendors and the St. Ann Center Marketplace Cafe.

Get your sparkle on, for yourself or holiday gifts, as you browse vintage, heirloom and fun retro jewelry, plus one-of-a-kind necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more designed by Sr. Edna Lonergan, St. Ann Center president. Then check out the assorted varieties of tasty homemade chili – yum! You’ll find your other favorites as well – fresh, local produce, natural soaps and lotions, hand-crafted items, scrumptious baked goods and other items that make great holiday gifts. Shop in comfort in our beautiful, bright atrium. Our market is completely wheelchair-friendly with convenient parking. All proceeds from the Chili and Jewelry Sale go to support the care of those served by St. Ann Center, the young, the frail elderly and adults of all abilities. A heart-warming experience indeed!

Breakfast with Santa

While the elves are busy in the workshop, Santa Claus is planning a full schedule of appearances this season with Lake Lawn at the top of his list! Enjoy breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 26 with seatings at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the Geneva Ballroom. An additional breakfast with Santa will take place on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. Featuring two side-by-side breakfast buffets, with one set up at children’s height, guests will enjoy a hearty morning meal before sharing their wish lists with Santa. A life-size gingerbread house will be on display in Lake Lawn’s garden courtyard for picture taking. Plus, sing-a-long Christmas carols and children’s arts and crafts will top off the memorable mornings. The Nutcracker

From dancing mice and toy soldiers to twirling flowers and snowflakes, local dance studio, The Dance Factory, will get audience members in the true holiday spirit during their classic performances of “The Nutcracker” on Saturday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Great Room. Film & Fortune Cookies

Looking for something fun to do Christmas Day? Come to JMM to enjoy a film, fortune cookies and film-fare-favorite – popcorn! We will be screening “The Glass Menagerie” (1987) based on the Tennessee Williams play of the same title, directed by Paul Newman and starring Joanne Woodward and John Malkovich. Film will be shown at 1:00 pm; running time: 2hrs. 4mins. Free with museum admission. The Glass Menagerie Synopsis: A son, Tom Wingfield, longs to escape from his stifling home, where his genteel mother worries about the future prospects of his lame, shy sister. Tom invites a friend to dinner, raising the hope that a romantic match for his sister is possible. Film offered in connection with the current special exhibit, Once & Again: Still Lifes by Beth Lipman, on display at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee through January 8, 2017.

New Year’s Eve Comedy Show

Sit back and revel in a family-friendly comedy performance by Dobie Maxwell—a nationally touring, award-winning comedian that has worked with Jay Leno, Jeff Foxworthy, Jerry Seinfeld, Robin Williams and more. Maxwell will perform his stand-up at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in the Great Room. Following the 10:30 p.m. show, a countdown to midnight, balloon drop and champagne toast will take place. New Year’s Day Bloody Mary Brunch
