No Instructions Gallery is pleased to announce Words for Everything, a solo exhibition of new paintings by Chicago-based artist Cody Tumblin, opening Bay View Gallery Night, Friday, September 26 from 5:00–9:00 p.m. The show runs through November 7, 2025, with regular hours on Fridays (12–5 p.m.) and Saturdays (10 a.m.–4 p.m.).

Cody Tumblin’s paintings are quiet celebrations of color—densely layered surfaces of painted collage and found textiles that read as tender devotions to the natural world. Motifs of shooting stars, sprawling vines, and constellations of hearts often appear, woven into mosaic constructions of vibrant jewel tones and muted hues. Tumblin approaches painting as both a devotional act and a formal process that binds color to a spiritual form. Each painting can be seen as a kind of reliquary, dedicating itself to some unseen wonder that sets its making into motion.
