1910 on Water is a six-story apartment building on Milwaukee’s Lower East Side. The building is owned Wangard Partners. Altius Building Company served as the general contractor. The building includes 68 apartment units, two-levels of in-building parking, and a street-level tenant gym.
The building’s financing package included a United States Department of Housing and Urban Development loan guarantee for a $9.6 million construction loan. A groundbreaking for the $11.5 million building was held on August 24th, 2011. The building was completed in the summer of 2012.
The site was originally approved for a second phase of the HighBridge Condominiums with 26 condominiums on the site. These plans were cancelled when Wangard acquired the site on February 24th, 2010 from Mosaic Condo LLC, an investment group led by Brian Kliesmet (the land was previously property of New Land Enterprises). Two vacant homes on the site were demolished for the project.

At Monday's City Plan Commission meeting, Wangard Parnters Inc. will be requesting an amendment to the Detailed Planned Development known as HighBridge Condominiums, with the intent of moving the project forward, now redesigned as apartments and renamed as Metro Place.
