3rd Street Market Hall Plans Two In-House Concepts
Long marketed as a small business incubator, the downtown hub is poised to debut its own stalls.

More than four years after launching as a small-business-focused food court, 3rd Street Market Hall is poised to add two in-house vendors to its lineup.
Green Thumb Salad Spot and Clutch Sandwich Co. are expected to join nearly two dozen independently operated businesses at the market, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave., in mid-September, leadership announced earlier this week.
Two current tenants, Goodland Greens and Criollo Rotisserie Chicken, will leave the market as part of the transition, while Creta Mediterranean Grill will move into Criollo’s space.
The changes will place the incoming concepts in two of the most prominent spaces in the hall, directly in front of the building’s main entrance.
3rd Street Market Hall announced the additions in an online post, writing: “We’re excited to introduce Green Thumb Salad Spot and Clutch Sandwich Co. — two all-new concepts created by the 3rd Street Market Hall team and designed to bring even more variety to the Hall.”
According to the post, Green Thumb will replace the hall’s current salad vendor, Goodland Greens, offering a selection of made-to-order salads, including a build-your-own option.
Clutch, set to open in the current Creta stall, plans to serve classic sandwiches and original creations from culinary director Cullen Moffatt. It will be the hall’s newest sandwich vendor, following Num Pang, which opened in April with a menu highlighting traditional Cambodian flavors.
Both incoming concepts will offer counter service, grab-and-go options, catering and boxed lunches.
Opened in early 2022, 3rd Street Market Hall has long marketed itself as a launch point for up-and-coming businesses, leasing turnkey stalls and commercial kitchen space to help mitigate overhead costs.
3rd Street Market Hall is among Milwaukee’s last remaining food halls, following a short-lived boom that saw the launch of Crossroads Collective and North Avenue Market, both of which have since closed. The longstanding Milwaukee Public Market also continues.
