Bronzeville Cultural & Arts Festival Accepting Entertainer Applications
Applications are now being accepted for main-stage entertainers at the Bronzeville Cultural & Arts Festival. Bronzeville Week, hosted by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs, will take place August 1 – 8, with the Cultural & Arts Festival taking place on Sunday, August 2, from 10 am – 6 pm on North Ave. from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. to 7th St.
The Bronzeville Cultural & Arts Festival aims to showcase Milwaukee’s best talent across a variety of artistic mediums, and offers entertainers a chance to reach thousands of attendees, connect with community leaders, businesses, and arts supporters, and be a part of the area’s premiere African-American celebration of arts, culture, and commerce. Vocalists, bands, dance groups, spoken word/poetry performers, interactive arts performers, and family-friendly entertainment are all encouraged to apply.
“The Bronzeville Cultural & Arts Festival is a chance for local performers to showcase their talents to the community on one of Milwaukee’s premier cultural festival stages. All types of acts are welcome, but I would encourage those interested to apply soon to take advantage of this platform and opportunity,” said Ald. Coggs.
Those interested can apply here. The deadline for performance applications is Friday, June 26.
