Apply to Join the WWIG Board of Directors: Help Shape the Future of Women in Public Service
Wisconsin Women in Government is now accepting applications for our Board of Directors, with new members beginning their terms in August 2026.
As WWIG continues to grow, we are seeking engaged leaders from across Wisconsin who are passionate about supporting women in public service and helping strengthen our organization’s programs, events, and long-term sustainability.
This year, we are particularly interested in individuals with experience or interest in:
- Fundraising and sponsorship development
- Event planning and program coordination
- Communications, marketing, or digital engagement
- Membership recruitment and retention
- Nonprofit governance or organizational strategy
The WWIG Board is a volunteer, working board, and members are expected to actively contribute through committee participation and event execution throughout the year.
Applicants must be residents of Wisconsin. We welcome applicants from communities across the state and are committed to building a geographically diverse board that reflects Wisconsin’s broad public service community.
Serving on the WWIG Board is an opportunity to:
- Build leadership skills
- Expand your professional network
- Support women in government and public service across Wisconsin
- Help shape WWIG’s future programming and initiatives
Applications are due Friday, June 19, 2026.

- A brief letter of interest

Interviews will be conducted in late June, and selected candidates will join the board beginning with the August meeting.
