Third Space Brewing and the City of West Allis Partner on New West Allis Beer Garden
Third Space Brewing will open the West Allis Beer Garden in Liberty Heights Park June through August 2026.
West Allis, Wisc. – April 29, 2026 – In partnership with the City of West Allis, local craft brewery, Third Space Brewing, will open a new beer garden this summer in West Allis’s Liberty Heights Park. The new beer garden will operate in the heart of the park, serving out of the new Liberty Heights Park Pavilion, which includes a large outdoor covered patio area. Liberty Heights Park is located at 1540 S. 62nd Street in West Allis, one block south of Greenfield Avenue.
The West Allis Beer Garden by Third Space Brewing will open with a Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Event on Friday June 5, 2026, at 4pm. The beer garden will then open every Friday from 4-9pm and Saturdays from 3-9pm through August 29, 2026.
The beer garden will feature beers from Third Space Brewing, an award-winning local craft brewer. The team from Third Space Brewing, who will operate the beer garden directly, will also serve non-alcoholic soft drinks, canned hard seltzer, canned cocktails, pre-packaged snack foods, and a rotating beer from West Allis’s local craft breweries.
The West Allis Beer Garden will include live music most Friday and Saturday evenings from 6-8pm as well as food trucks throughout the summer.
The new Liberty Heights Park Pavilion, where the beer garden will operate, will offer several picnic tables in the covered patio area as well as a section of tables adjacent to the modern playground area. The Park also includes a splash pad, volleyball court, tennis courts, and baseball fields.
“We are excited to add a new ‘third space’ to our retail offerings in the City of West Allis this summer,” shared Third Space Brewing’s Co-Founder and President, Andy Gehl. Third Space Brewing has operated a similar beer garden to the planned West Allis Beer Garden in the Elm Grove Village Park since 2021. The Elm Grove Beer Garden will continue operations Wednesdays through Sundays from May 1 through mid-October. Third Space Brewing also recently opened a restaurant and tap room in Menomonee Falls called the Innovation Brewhouse and continues to operate a tap room and beer garden at its main brewery location at 1505 W. St. Paul Ave. in Milwaukee.
“Few experiences match the ‘third space’ concept as well as the community beer garden,” added Gehl. “We strive to create a welcoming space for neighbors to gather, to watch their kids play together on the playground, or to simply grab a beer and a bite to eat over some good conversation in the neighborhood.”
Mayor of West Allis, Dan Devine shared, “bringing a beer garden to Liberty Heights Park will bring energy to this neighborhood and create a welcoming gathering spot for residents and visitors alike. It will draw people to our community who may not have ventured here recently, giving them a chance to experience all the new things our City has to offer.”
Third Space Brewing will support the community directly by contributing a portion of all sales to the City of West Allis for use on park improvements and future programming. Additionally, Third Space Brewing will host Community Spotlight nights periodically during the summer to support local nonprofits with a portion of sales and a platform to raise awareness for the organization.
