Representative Anderson’s Statement on Speaker Vos’ Retirement From the Assembly
MADISON, Wis – Today, Robin Vos announced his retirement from the Wisconsin State Assembly. One of the longest-serving state legislative leaders in the country, Vos steps down amid mounting fractures within the Assembly Republican Caucus and intensifying national pressure on the Republican Party.
Voters are signaling a desire for change and for leadership that focuses on delivering results rather than protecting a shrinking majority.
Representative Clinton Anderson issued the following statement: “Wisconsinites want a legislature that lowers costs for families, cuts property taxes, supports our public schools, protects access to health care, and holds our government accountable. It’s time to get back to common sense priorities that bring people together and deliver real results.”
