Award-Winning Milwaukee Filmmaker Justin Goodrum’s Debut Feature Christopher Officially Greenlit
Milwaukee, WI—Milwaukee-based filmmaker Justin Goodrum, a 2024 Mary Nohl Fellow Emerging Artist and Milwaukee Arts Board 2024 Artist of the Year, is set to make his feature directorial debut with Christopher, a psychological thriller that has officially been greenlit.
Christopher marks Goodrum’s first feature-length project following a body of short-form and documentary work centered on social impact. The independently produced film from Good Entertainment follows a young aspiring writer grappling with mounting personal and professional pressure as he attempts to escape the weight of his family’s past. When a seemingly promising relationship begins to destabilize his sense of reality, the story moves into darker psychological territory, blending grounded drama with genre-driven suspense.
“Christopher pushes my craft forward while reflecting the pressure and silence I watched people close to me carry when I was growing up.”
Production has begun in Milwaukee, with additional details to be announced later. Updates on the project, including behind-the-scenes insights and release information, will be shared via newsletter.
