MILWAUKEE – As the winter season brings heightened demand for food assistance, Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) is stepping up with a donation of $10,000 each to Hunger Task Force, Nourish MKE and Feeding America. These contributions will help provide more than 330,000 meals for individuals and families across the region, addressing the growing food insecurity many are facing this year.

“The winter months are always challenging, but this year the need is even more urgent,” said Cecelia Gore, Executive Director of Brewers Community Foundation. “BCF is deeply connected to the needs of our community, and while we regularly support our local food banks, we are proud to contribute additional financial resources during this critical time. We encourage everyone to join us in supporting local food banks and pantries – your generosity can make a real difference for your neighbors, especially as the holidays approach.”

Brewers Community Foundation invites fans and community members to contribute to local food banks and pantries, helping ensure that no family goes without a warm meal this season.

These efforts are in addition to the annual Drive-Thru Food Drive, hosted by BCF, CBS58 and the Hunger Task Force. The 14th year of this impactful food drive takes place Friday, November 21, at American Family Field from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cars will be directed to pull through the American Family Field parking lot “drive-thru,” next to Helfaer Field, while volunteers accept food donations.

Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in the Greater Milwaukee area and throughout Wisconsin. For more than a decade, BCF has generated more than $60 million to support local non-profits in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. Approximately 200 non-profit organizations receive funding annually throughout the Foundation’s initiatives. Visit brewers.com/BCF to learn about ways you can join the team that goes to bat for those in need.
