Sarah Godlewski Announces Campaign for Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor
Proven statewide leader pledges to fight for working families, invest in our communities and move Wisconsin forward
Madison, WI – Surrounded by local and community leaders from across the state, Wisconsin Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski today announced her candidacy for Lieutenant Governor, vowing to bring her record of statewide leadership, commitment to public service, and passion for solving problems to the state’s second-highest office.
Godlewski has served as Wisconsin’s Secretary of State since 2023 and previously as State Treasurer, where she helped thousands of Wisconsinites keep their homes during COVID, led the investment fund that increased funding for our public schools and invested in rural infrastructure.
Godlewski also laid out her priorities as Lieutenant Governor:
“I’m not just your Secretary of State and now a candidate for Lieutenant Governor — I’m also a mom. And my son Hartley, who’s here with me today, is my daily reminder that the choices we make set the stage for his generation.
“Our kids deserve a Wisconsin where families don’t just get by — they get ahead, with great schools, safe neighborhoods, and strong communities. Where hard work isn’t just a slogan, but a promise — that an honest job can support a family and build a future. Where kids continue to enjoy our clean lakes, rivers, and play in our public lands.”
