Metaphysical Supply Shop, Spirit Mercantile, opening at Stonewood Village
Brookfield’s new metaphysical supply store, Spirit Mercantile, located in the Stonewood Village Shops, celebrates its grand opening.
“We wanted to create a space where people can get in touch with the ritual aspect of their spirituality. A safe zone where no question is stupid and you’re not expected to know why you came in, it’s simply enough that you are seeking something more” according to owner and sole proprietor Melissa Musante.
[inarticleaad]Melissa’s goal is to address ritual needs of any practitioner, regardless of religious beliefs while dispelling the misconceptions often associated with the metaphysical. “Ritual is simply prayer in action. So, when you pray the rosary, or with mala beads, or make a wish when blowing out birthday candles, or do something more complicated like make a poppet… all of that is ritual. And Spirit Mercantile has the supplies needed for whatever ritual your path dictates”, says Melissa.
Melissa’s spiritual practices were passed down through her family from her great-grandmother and grandfather with a deep commitment to honoring the natural world while observing the cycles of the sun and moon. She has also studied under renowned UK author RJ Stewart. Melissa is guided by the lessons of her ancestors and the natural world.
Plans for expansion include a full slate of classes starting in Fall of 2025 to include not only things like tarot, astrology, and herbalism but also seasonal make and takes, or how to make a spell jar, or magical candle. The classroom will also aim to amplify the voices of nationally and internationally recognized spirituality authors who have connections with the greater Milwaukee area.
Products available from Spirit Mercantile include all natural candles and soaps (no paraffin wax, no artificial scents), altar tools, custom blended essential oils, jewelry and prayer beads, all-natural incense, crystals, divination tools, and other metaphysical materials (available individually or as part of one of a variety of kits).
