West Allis Arts Collective Launches with Inaugural Event – Make Music Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 16, 2025 – WEST ALLIS, WIS – The City of West Allis is excited to introduce the West Allis Arts Collective. The Collective will work to create a vibrant, dynamic community where art, creativity, and culture bring people together. They’ll cultivate a thriving arts scene, support local artists in all forms of creative arts, and establish West Allis as a preferred destination for artistic expression and cultural engagement.

“Over the past decade, my life has become an immersive experience in the arts,” said Erico Ortiz, president of the West Allis Arts Collective and owner and artistic director of Inspiration Studios. “As West Allis continues to expand its investment in art offerings for the community, I am thrilled and humbled to be a small part of this great endeavor.”

The Collective’s inaugural event will be Make Music Day West Allis on Saturday, June 21, the summer solstice and the worldwide day of music. Local musicians will perform for free at designated parks and public spaces throughout the community. Performances begin at 8 a.m. at the newly reconstructed Liberty Heights Park Pavilion and end at 8 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, or drive to and from each location. At the end of the night, Stalley Cats will host an after-party to celebrate the day’s activities.

The lineup features local musicians of all skill levels and genres. Highlights include the 2025 WAMI Female Vocalist of the Year, an Elvis tribute, choral groups, acoustic sets, originals and covers, and more.
