Celebrate National Water Safety Week with Free Water Safety Day at Noyes Pool

Milwaukee, WI – In recognition of National Water Safety Month, and to help families prepare for summer, Milwaukee County Parks and partners Sigma Gamma Rho, and Safe Kids Wisconsin invite the community to a free Water Safety Day at Noyes Indoor Pool on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held at 8235 W. Good Hope Road and is open to children ages 4+, caregivers, and adults.

Water Safety Day Agenda:

  • 10:30 – 11:30
    • Learn Water Safety Skills:
      • How to use a ring buoy
      • Get fitted for a lifejacket
      • Meet your lifeguards
      • And more!
  • 11:30-12:00
    • In-Water Instruction
      • Bring your swimsuit!
      • Swim caps provided (while supplies last)
  • 12:00-12:30
    • Free Snack!
  • 12:30-2:00
    • Open Swim!

“Water safety is something we can all take part in—whether you’re a parent, swimmer, or first-time pool-goer,” said Parks Director Guy Smith. “We’re excited to offer this free event to help our community learn skills that save lives.”

No registration is required to attend, but families are encouraged to pre-register for one free pool admission to use later in the summer.
