Kinser Campaign – Underly Declines Participation in Key Milwaukee Forums
MADISON, Wisc. — On Monday, the campaign of Brittany Kinser, candidate for Superintendent of the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), released the following statement after incumbent Superintendent Jill Underly declined to participate in a third candidate forum in the race for DPI Superintendent.
“Since skipping the pre-primary WisPolitics forum on February 6th, incumbent DPI Superintendent Jill Underly has declined two additional opportunities to have a moderated discussion regarding important education issues in Wisconsin on the same stage as challenger Brittany Kinser.
It is disappointing that Jill Underly is snubbing residents of the largest city and school district in Wisconsin, with the largest achievement gap in the country, just a few weeks before the April 1, election. Milwaukee and ALL of WIsconsin deserve so much better.
