Wilson Center Announces Two New Board Members

Brookfield, WI (November, 2024) The Board of Directors at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center of the Arts is proud to announce two new Board members for 2024/25. John C. Hill (“Jay”), and Ann Barry Hanneman as Members-At-Large.

Jay Hill is the Vice President of Advance Technology at GE Healthcare in Waukesha, WI. Mr. Hill is an experienced business leader with deep background in advanced technology, engineering, and product management. He has extensive experience developing talent and leading large, global teams, and working in global markets. Mr. Hill demonstrates a track record of delivering business transformation, operational excellence, cost productivity, and innovative, profitable high-technology products in challenging environments. He is an experienced collaborator with customers, government, and industry groups.

Ann Barry Hanneman is an Attorney at Law, specializing in Labor and Employment at von Briesen & Roper, S.C. in Waukesha, WI. Ann Barry Hanneman is a Shareholder and Chair of the Labor and Employment Section. Ann serves as legal counsel to management in labor and employment law matters, including representing employers in federal and state employment litigation and in labor arbitration. Ann has successfully tried federal court jury trials, and regularly represents employers in administrative matters as well as federal and state court proceedings. In addition to litigation, Ann’s practice includes advising on employment discrimination, negotiating separation agreements, handling sexual harassment complaints, drafting employee handbooks, developing policies, drafting non-compete agreements and managing wage and hour matters.

Ann is a frequent author and speaker on employment law matters. She also provides management training for companies on employment discrimination, equal employment opportunity laws including sexual harassment and Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, Fair Labor Standards Act compliance, discipline and discharge, workplace investigations, employee handbooks, hiring, ADA compliance, and updates on current cases and legislation affecting employment law and human resources.

ABOUT THE SHARON LYNNE WILSON CENTER FOR THE ARTS

The Wilson Center is a multidisciplinary 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural arts facility, recognized as a cultural anchor in the Greater Milwaukee community. It is the mission of the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts to be a vibrant destination expanding, inspiring, and delivering a lifetime of arts education and experiences. The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts Executive Director is Sandy Wysocki. Currently in her third year, Sandy leads the fundraising for both operating and capital needs. She is also responsible for initiating/expanding strategic collaborations in the Center’s cultural and educational focus areas. Sandy formerly served as Publisher of MKE Lifestyle Magazine and as Chief Development Officer for the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF).   Prior to UPAF, Sandy was the Director of Audience Development for The Milwaukee Business Journal. She was named a Women of Influence in 2018 by the Milwaukee Business Journal and was awarded the Don Richards Leadership Award from the Waukesha County Business Alliance in 2015.

Situated in a beautiful 400-acre park in Brookfield, Wisconsin, the Wilson Center focuses on three main disciplines: Performing Arts, Arts Education, and Visual Arts, while celebrating our five core values of excellence, innovation, passion, stewardship, and collaboration. Since opening in 2002, the Wilson Center has grown to annually welcome more than 55,000 people, including more than 10,000 students—many of whom are being introduced to the arts for the first time.

Through arts education programs such as Beyond the Classroom, ArtsReach, Summer Arts Camp and year-round visual art classes and art exhibitions, the Wilson Center promotes lifelong learning for students of all ages and levels of artistic abilities.

Through the vibrant outdoor artistic landscape of our Lynn Chappy ArtsPark, the Wilson Center joins nature and art in ways that are designed to educate and inspire our shared community.

And through intimate, vibrant, and eclectic performances featuring such renowned artists as Branford Marsalis, Audra McDonald, Suzanne Vega, Leo Kottke, Billy Strings, The Paul Taylor Dance Company, Kronos Quartet, Garrison Keillor, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Kathy Mattea and many others, the Wilson Center shares with audiences of all ages the endless possibilities of imagination and artistic invention.
