Questions Eric Hovde Needs to Answer About The Anti-Abortion Group That Endorsed Him
MADISON, Wis. — Yesterday, Eric Hovde was endorsed by an anti-abortion group called the ‘Campaign for Working Families,’ which supports fetal personhood, which would end all abortions, believes life begins at conception, said that medication abortion is ‘baby pesticides,’ and just last month compared abortion to ‘child sacrifice.’
Questions Eric Hovde needs to answer about his latest endorser:
- Why does he want to ban abortion from conception?
- Does Hovde agree with his endorser that abortion is like child sacrifice?
- Does Hovde agree with his endorser that medication abortion is ‘baby pesticides’ and should be banned?

According to Genesis life begins at first breath. God breathed life into Adam. I aways find it curious that evangelical anti-abortion groups totally disregard Genesis. They disregard the fact that there is scientific or religious basis for life beginning at conceptions. With this in mind, here are questions I have for this group and Hovde:
1. If life begins at conception how do you account for and deal with miscarriages? Medically miscarriages are natural abortions.
2. In the case of etopic pregnancies is this also child sacrifice? Do you believe the pregnancy continues until both fetus and mother are dead?
3. Is it child sacrifice if the fetus dies in the womb and the decaying fetus threatens the mother with sepsis? Must the pregnancy continue until sepsis takes the life of the mother?
4. Are still births also child sacrifice? Who actually is “sacrificing the child?
5. If the fetus is an independent person, what is the mother? Is she only the vessel for the fetus? Does the mother have any rights at all? If the fetus turns out to be female, are both mother and baby without rights?
For so long anti-abortion groups proclaimed they are pro-life. However, their rhetoric has always been extremely misogynistic.
It is apparent that Hovde is endorsed by a group that has no regard for life unless it is a fetus. So what happens when that fetus takes its first breath?
