WisDems Chair Statement on Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway’s Decision to Not Seek Another Term

MADISON, Wis. — Following Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway’s announcement that she will not seek another term, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker released the following statement:

“Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway led Madison through some of the hardest years in the city’s history. She took office less than a year before a pandemic, kept the city running through it, and never stopped delivering. Today, thanks to her leadership, transit has been expanded, there are more affordable housing options, and the city is taking real action on climate. And when the Trump administration came after Madison, she stood up for the people and our democracy. She will leave the city stronger than she found it and we’re grateful for her leadership.”
