Announcing the Creation of the Southeast Wisconsin Farmers Market Collaborative

Milwaukee, WI – The Farmers Markets of Brown Deer, Jackson Park, Oak Creek, and Riverwest are thrilled to announce the creation of the Southeast WI Farmers Market Collaborative.  These vibrant local markets are now part of this collaborative effort.

The Southeast Wisconsin Farmers Market Collaborative, funded by a generous grant from the University of Wisconsin Madison Extension, aims to strengthen local communities by supporting agricultural initiatives and promoting healthy living. This expansion represents a significant milestone in our mission to enhance farmers markets and provide better support to our vendors.

Grant from USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program

The University of Wisconsin Extension, a champion of community development, was awarded a grant from the USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program. This grant will empower us to gather valuable data, improve market experiences, and boost local agricultural product sales. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the University of Wisconsin Extension for their unwavering support.

Taste It Tent: A Gateway to Freshness and Wellness

As part of our initiative, we are excited to introduce the Taste It Tent at each of the participating markets. Here, visitors can sample an array of fresh fruits and vegetables, discover creative ways to incorporate them into their daily meals, and learn about the benefits of a wholesome diet. By encouraging more people to visit the markets, we not only support our hardworking farmers but also foster education and health within our community.

Join Us!

We invite everyone to join us at the Collaborative member markets. Come explore the bounty of locally grown produce, connect with passionate vendors, and experience the joy of community-driven markets.
