David D. King Responds to Mayor Johnson’s Fundraising Text Attacking Life
As a Pastor, I 100% believe in life from conception forward, unlike the current mayor. Mayor Cavalier Johnson sent a text to people to raise money supporting the death of children, that is disgusting. This is especially more heinous knowing that the Wisconsin Supreme Court will rule on the legality of the current abortion law and no mayor will have a say on the outcome. Surely Johnson’s handlers know this.
Milwaukee is losing population and most of the losses are on the north side of the city, yet the mayor supports the continued decline of the city’s black population. One-third of every abortion in the state kills a black child.
During his last campaign for mayor, Johnson talked about doubling Milwaukee’s population to 1 million people. Were these just empty words to give the gullible media something positive to write about? We question where this growth will come from. Planting trees and making city streets unfriendly to cars is not the answer.
With so many people already suffering the consequences of tax and fee increases along with inflation, can Milwaukee survive the city’s policy maker’s idea of doubling the population by increasing refugee and immigrant (both illegal and legal) communities? We support common-sense growth and will make the city a place where people will want to live, by decreasing crime, lowering costs to citizens, and changing the opinion of out-state Wisconsinites that Milwaukee is not an economic hub of the state.
We believe city leadership should concentrate on taking care of Milwaukeeans who already live here and grow the city from within.
David King is a candidate for Mayor of Milwaukee running on a common sense platform empowering the citizens of Milwaukee to work together to actually solve the issues facing us.
