Supervisor Kathleen Vincent Invites Community to First Annual “Run For The Trail” Fundraiser
MILWAUKEE — County Supervisor Kathleen Vincent is excited to extend an invitation to all community members for the first annual “Run For The Trail” fundraiser, hosted by the Greendale Trail Association. The event is set to take place on Saturday, August 26th, at Greendale Gazebo Park — located at 6326 Schoolway. Races will begin at 9:00 AM.
Upon extending this invitation, Supervisor Vincent made the following statement:
“I am thrilled to join the Greendale Trail Association in inviting everyone to participate in the inaugural Run For The Trail fundraiser,” said Supervisor Vincent. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to support the creation of a safer and more accessible trail system that will connect our points of interest and strengthen the regional Oak Leaf Trail. I hope you’ll join us for a fun, engaging morning, and help contribute to the betterment of the community!”
The Run For The Trail fundraiser will mark a significant step towards enhancing pedestrian and cycling safety in Greendale. The event aims to raise funds for the construction of a new Greenbelt Trail system, a project that will not only benefit residents but also attract cyclists to explore downtown Greendale businesses.
Participants are asked to show up at 7:30 AM to sign in and pick up their race packets. Entries include a shirt for participants, with available sizes ranging from Youth Small – Youth Large and Adult Small – Adult XXL. Children aged 12 and under can participate in the 2-mile walk for free, with the option of adding a shirt for $15. There will be a raffle and other promotions as well.
