Supervisor Vincent Honors Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation at Recent County Board Meeting
MILWAUKEE – County Supervisor Kathleen Vincent presented the Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation with an official County Board citation at the Board’s most recent meeting.
“The Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation embodies Milwaukee County’s vision of becoming the healthiest county in Wisconsin by achieving racial equity,” said Supervisor Vincent. “This organization has been a vital part of our community for more than two decades. The center’s educational and cultural initiatives open the window of opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the beauty of Philippine culture. Its free healthcare clinic expands access to vital services desperately needed in Milwaukee County. I thank the Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation for all they do and wish them continued success for years to come.”
Executive Director Romulo Gerardo S.A. Ramos; Executive Secretary B. Jocelyn Agoncillo Ramos; Chairperson Maximo Cueto, Jr., MD; and Dr. Dr. Leticia Cueto accepted the citation on behalf of the organization.
The Philippine Cultural and Civic Center Foundation has long provided resources, services, and opportunities to underserved communities, and is a driver for the preservation and continuation of Philippine culture.
The center hosts an annual backpack giveaway each year, which provides more than 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to Milwaukee County students.
The center is located at 3717 W Howard Ave in the City of Greenfield.
