Old National Bank to Occupy Full Floor and Last Remaining Retail Space of Huron Building
New tenant fills Broadway-facing, first floor retail space and all of 8th floor, bringing occupancy to 65% of the Class A office space and mixed-use downtown building
MILWAUKEE (March 31, 2022) – J. Jeffers & Co. today announced that Old National Bank is the latest tenant to choose the Huron Building, 511 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, for Class A office and premium retail space needs. Old National Bank will lease 23,000 square feet encompassing the entire eighth floor of the building as well as the Broadway facing, street-level retail space. Old National Bank joins anchor tenant Husch Blackwell and restaurant Tupelo Honey at the Huron, bringing the building to 65% leased and 100% leased for ground level retail.
“Old National Bank is a perfect addition to the building, and we welcome the company and its team,” said Josh Jeffers, President and CEO of J. Jeffers & Co. ”The bank is growing and expanding its presence in Milwaukee and Wisconsin, and we are proud they will call the Huron home.”
“We are excited about this new space to inspire collaboration with our combined teams and better serve our clients. The added benefit of a first-floor retail branch makes the hub location complete,” said Kevin Anderson, Milwaukee Market & Business Banking President of Old National Bank. “As a hub for the Wisconsin banking team as well our Northern Oak advisors, the Huron is perfect. Its location provides visibility, flexibility and amenities that enable us to host clients, and it has a vibrant and collaborative space for partners to come together as one team. Access and convenience with The Hop line and on-site parking were important factors in site selection as well.”
The space – 20,500 sq. ft. of office space and 2,500 sq. ft. of retail – will be built out by contractor C.G. Schmidt and ready for Old National Bank occupancy in early 2023.
The Huron Building, completed in 2020, is one of Milwaukee’s newest Class A office buildings offering unique skyline and lake views with outdoor terraces, heated parking, and fitness center amenities. The Huron is ideally located at the gateway of the Third Ward and Lakefront with easy access to the Hop Streetcar, Intermodal Station, and I-94 Interchange.
The 11-story Huron is owned and operated by J. Jeffers & Company and is designed with architecturally sensitive details to complement the Historic Financial District and Jeffers’ neighboring historic Mackie and Mitchell Buildings.
