Tony Baez Announces Endorsement from Milwaukee Area Labor Council

Tony’s experience, knowledge is what’s needed for MPS success

MILWAUKEE – Dr. Tony Baez, candidate for the 6th district of the Milwaukee Public School Board, today announced the endorsement from the Milwaukee Area Labor Council.

Sheila Cochran, Secretary Treasurer of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council, said, “Tony Baez will bring a wealth of knowledge to the MPS board needed to inspire and direct policy, not only for the Latino community, but the needs of all our children.”

Baez said, “I’m honored to have the support of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council and from working people across Milwaukee who understand what’s at stake in this election. The MPS board, and the district as a whole, needs inspiration and bold new ideas. As a national expert on several of the issues facing MPS, I look forward to working with my colleagues and the Milwaukee Area Labor Council to find the best solutions for all students and families in the city.”

Dr. Tony Baez is currently an education consultant and national expert on many of the educational issues facing MPS. He holds a Ph.D. in urban education from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and resides on the city’s near south side. The general election is Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
