Water Street Bridge to Close Briefly for Maintenance on Thursday, May 19, 2016
Water Street/South 1st Street and the bridge to close from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) will perform maintenance work on the Water Street bridge over the Milwaukee River on Thursday, May 19, 2016. This work requires a full street closure of North Water/South 1st streets between E. Buffalo Street and E./W. Pittsburgh Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The traveling public is advised to add extra travel time and follow detours entering and leaving the Historic Third Ward and the Fifth Ward/Walker’s Point.
