Kids from Wisconsin is proud to announce the launch of its 46th season as Wisconsin’s Musical Ambassadors of Goodwill with its Premiere Performance on Tuesday, June 24th at 7:30 pm in the Schwan Concert Hall at Wisconsin Lutheran College, 8800 W. Bluemound Road, Milwaukee. A pre-performance celebration and fundraiser starts at 5:30 PM with raffle items and hors d’ oeuvres provided by Rupena’s.

The June 24th premier will raise the curtain on another demanding summer season for the Kids From Wisconsin. The troupe generally performs over 60 shows during the months of June, July and August to nearly 120,000 people over each season. Tickets are $20 for general admission seating and can be reserved by calling the Kids from Wisconsin at 414-266-7067 or visiting the website: http://kids2014premiere.bpt.me/

As the 2014 theme “Can’t Hold Us!” suggests, the popularity of the KIDS continues to grow making them a favorite of a wide diversity of audience members. From Broadway to funk, Duke Ellington to Billy Joel, swing to Fleetwood Mac, the KIDS have something for everyone.

“As exciting as it is to begin a new year showcasing our fine young talent, we are also launching a new outreach program called “Realize Your Dream” to ensure that music and performance remain a vital and valuable resource in our state,” said Tina Weiss, Executive Director.

The outreach will help the group continue its mission: “seek out, train and showcase the musically gifted youth of Wisconsin, to demonstrate the outstanding artistic talent, personal character and leadership potential present in Wisconsin’s greatest natural resource, its young people.” The Kids from Wisconsin has its first outreach session planned with Milwaukee’s First Stage Theatre.  The troupe will work with younger students to help them realize what it takes to be a KID and help them realize their dreams of a performance career. There are approximately 14 outreach sessions planned throughout the state. The premiere pre-show party will help fund this program in its inaugural year.
