Voters Return Fitzgerald to Congress
U.S. Rep easily wins reelection to fourth term in the House.
Voters returned U.S. Rep. Scott Fitzgerald in the 5th District to his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives Tuesday.
With 77% of the ballots counted, the AP called the 5th District race for Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) at 9:14 p.m. Fitzgerald defeated Democrat Andy Beck of West Bend, winning a fourth term in office.
The 5th District covers all of Jefferson and Washington counties, most of Waukesha County and a portion of Dodge County.
Beck, who has worked in healthcare sales, marketing and customer service for a variety of firms, ran a grass-roots campaign. He raised a little less than $15,000 as of June 30, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
Fitzgerald, a former state senator who was first elected to Congress in 2020, raised more than 10 times that amount, $1.7 million in the 2025-26 cycle, spending more than $1.3 million in the same period, Open Secrets reports.
