Reminder: Deadline Approaching for 6th District Landscaping Award Nominations

By - Oct 9th, 2026 02:16 pm

Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is reminding residents to nominate a neighbor or themselves for a 2026 6th District Landscape Award. Nominations must be submitted by the close of business on Thursday, October 15. Nominees’ names and addresses can be emailed to Aide06@milwaukee.gov for consideration. Supporting digital photos are also recommended.

The landscape awards recognize properties in the 6th Aldermanic District deserving of special recognition for outstanding gardening or landscaping efforts. Residents can nominate a neighbor or themselves for a well-landscaped or especially eye-catching property.

Alderwoman Coggs has long supported and encouraged neighborhood beautification and improvement, and the 6th District Landscape Awards are part of her Clean City Project. “Neighborhood beautification goes a long way toward enhancing pride and engagement in an area, and at the heart of neighborhood beautification are residents who work diligently to maintain their properties to help improve overall quality of life,” said Alderwoman Coggs. “If you or someone you know lives in the 6th District and goes above and beyond to beautify their home, I would encourage you to nominate them for this award with the deadline quickly approaching.”
