The Milwaukee Film Festival is going virtual this year. The festival kicks off Thursday, October 15th, and runs through October 29th with a long list of films available. And we have a special deal just for Urban Milwaukee members.
Urban Milwaukee members can watch every film for $100, a $60 discount. You’ll be able to take in the opening night film, I Used To Go Here starring Gillian Jacobs or the different shorts programs (Date Night anyone?). Pick and choose your favorite locally-made films in the Cream City Cinema program or watch the Rated K: For Kids programs on repeat with your little ones. You can also jump into the Q+A sessions being held virtually.
The virtual festival means no Oriental Theatre, but in exchange you won’t have to wait in line in the rain, listen to someone else gnaw on popcorn or leave your couch. With a handful of exceptions, you’ll also be able to watch any film when you want to. You can even run to the bathroom without having to say “excuse me” to a bunch of strangers in the dark.
Watch as many films, or as few, as your heart desires. You’ll be able to stream the movies on your computer, tablet, smartphone or television. An app is available for smart TVs, and those without smart TVs can plug in an HDMI cable to watch on their personal big screen.
