Looking to shop local? If you love our journalism, you can shop locally this year by giving the gift of Urban Milwaukee. And you’ll get $20 off your own membership, whether you’re a current member or decide to join up to get this deal. So you get a discount for giving a friend or loved one a membership that makes them eligible for our exclusive deals and giveaways — all of which are local, by the way. It’s a great gift for anyone who loves Milwaukee and wants to get more of what the city has to offer.

The Gift of Urban Milwaukee is a one year full-access subscription to our rapidly growing membership program. Memberships include numerous perks such as an ad-free site, free tickets, giveaways, behind-the-scenes tours, Beer Bashes, etc. The entire list if what’s included can be found here. We will send your friend or loved one a holiday letter describing the gift, the associated perks, and how to access their new membership. A special code will be in each letter allowing them to sign-in. We will mail the letters December 20th through the 26th, but as always, you are welcome to come to Urban Milwaukee: The Store to pick it up — and do a little holiday gift shopping while you’re at it.

This is the perfect opportunity for those of you who are committed to supporting Urban Milwaukee and want to help spread the word of our membership program. Or if you have a friend or relative who follows our publication, but hasn’t gotten around to becoming a member yet. It’s an easy way to cross off one person from the list of people you need to get a gift.

All this is just $99 per gift purchased, and includes an active membership for an entire year, while you get $20 off your membership

Whether you’re a monthly or an annual member, we’ll give you a $20 credit per gift purchased that will be used on your next membership charge. Not a member yet? If you sign up now and purchase one or more Gifts of Urban Milwaukee, we’ll credit your account $20 per purchase.
