    my husband owns a neon sign that says “wright place” which was the bar on the corner of weil and wright (930/2 e wright) which became ‘thru the looking glass’ in the late 70’s and was converted to an apartment. we lived upstair in the back. the bar scene was crazy wild back then in 1980 and concerned neighbors banded together when liquor licenses were up for renewal. beggas was a great, conscientious neighbor. some others were just notorious,
