Let Them Eat Chili
12th Annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser is best in history, raising $60,000, and providing a lot of fun, as our photos show.
On Sunday March 2nd, 3,600 people came out to WMSE 91.7FM’s 12th Annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser at the Kern Center in downtown Milwaukee. They enjoyed a day of hot chili, rocking music, and chili pepper races!
The event helped WMSE raise over $60,000, a 24 percent bump over the 2013 fundraiser. In a release after the event, WMSE development director Justin Shoman explained, “We took some risks by expanding the venue.” He added, “but as is always the case, WMSE listeners and the greater Milwaukee area helped those risks pay off in a big, big way. To raise over $60,000 in one day? Heck yeah. This is a single event fundraising record for WMSE and it will go a long way to supporting our mission.”
