Guys in Dinner Jackets and Stand Up Comedians
The holiday favorites are supplemented by some offbeat fare.
The Christmas week is typically when the arts scene slows down bit, though there is still plenty of holiday fare, from The Nutcracker to A Christmas Carol to the wacky A Cudahy Caroler Christmas. New this week is the musical variety show, Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets, which comes to the Waukesha Civic Theatre, and for those in need of some comic relief, Jim Gaffigan is at the Pabst Theater four nights in a row and Milwaukee Comedy is hosting Variety Hour Happy Hour at the Underground Collaborative.
Music
Waukesha Civic Theatre welcomes local vocal quartet, Four Guyz In Dinner Jackets, as they bring their energetic doo-wop music of the 50s and 60s along with some holiday cheer on Friday, Dec. 27, Saturday, Dec. 28 and Tuesday Dec. 31. All shows are at 8 p.m. and tickets are $23, $20 for students and seniors, available online or call (262) 547-0708.
Mitchell Park Conservatory: The Domes welcome jazz group Kal Bergendahl Project for the Grand Holiday Show in the Music Under Glass series for a festive concert that blends R&B, pop, smooth jazz, and Christmas classics.
