From spooky adventures and costume parties to family-friendly fare, TCD has your list for what events to haunt this Halloween season.
HALLOWEEN FUN FOR ADULTS…
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a true cult classic. Halloween season is the perfect time to lose your Rocky Horror virginity and enjoy the full experience, featuring the original uncut film, a live cast, costume contests, prizes, and more!
- Where: Oriental Theatre, 2230 N. Farwell Ave.
- When: Saturday, Oct. 12 at midnight and October 25 & 26 at midnight.
Annual Halloween Harvest Costume Party
If you’re looking for a Halloween party filled with Milwaukee locals, drinks, and dancing, then the Riverwest Public House Cooperative’s annual costume party is the place to be this Halloween. Wear your most elaborate costume and come thirsty.
- Where: Riverwest Public House, 815 E. Locust Street
- When: Saturday, Oct. 26 at 9 p.m.
Creatures and Creators Halloween Party
Don’t miss this truly authentic Milwaukee experience, hosted by Made in Milwaukee and 88Nine Radio Milwaukee. It will be the largest and funkiest Halloween party in town, featuring a Michael Jackson vs. Prince dance party, a costume contest, and a fashion show.
- Where: Turner Hall Ballroom, 1040 N. 4th Street
- When: Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear costumes to this party where ambience, appetizers, and a cocktail are included with the entry fee. There will also be presentations by guests from Milwaukeeghosts.com and Paranormal Investigators of Milwaukee. It’s sure to be a spooktacular time!

- When: Saturday, Oct. 26 from 6–9 p.m.
- Family-friendly Halloween adventure on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Halloween Late Night Party Cruise
This Edelweiss party cruise is the perfect opportunity to do something exciting and new this Halloween. Put your costume on, grab your friends, and get ready to dance the night away on the Milwaukee River while enjoying the Miller Lite and nacho buffet.
- Where: Milwaukee River Cruise Line, 205 W. Highland Ave.
- When: Thursday, October 31st from 10:30 p.m.–midnight
Night of the Living Dead – The Puppet Show
Angry Young Men Ltd is back at it again with their annual zombie puppet show. This troupe of puppeteers have performed everywhere from horror conventions to night clubs, and their hilariously horrifying Halloween show is sure to deliver many laughs and surprises.
- Where: Oriental Theater, 2230 N. Farwell Ave.
- When: Thursday, October 31. Doors open at 7 p.m. Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Umphrey’s McGee Annual Halloween Mashup
Back for the sixth year in a row, Umphrey’s McGee will be celebrating Halloween in Milwaukee with not one, not two, but three shows! Come hear their unique live mash-ups, and be a part of a Milwaukee Halloween tradition.
- Where: The Riverside Theater, 116 W. Wisconsin Avenue
- When: Oct. 31, Nov. 1 & Nov. 2 at 7 p.m.
Mad Planet’s Halloween Dance Party
Be sure to come in costume dance the night away at this awesome Halloween party, where there will be some wicked prizes awarded to the winners of the costume contest.
- Where: Mad Planet, 533 E. Center Street
- When: Friday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m.
This all-night Halloween party is the second annual for Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery. With a dancing area, two bars, two patios, a fireplace, and great drink specials, you’ll have plenty to scream about. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!
- Where: Best Place, 901 W. Juneau Avenue
- When: Friday, Nov. 1 from 7 p.m.–2:30 a.m.
