Milwaukee is a diverse city with numerous events happening every weekend. The Third Coast Daily photo team visited several of them last weekend and has a photo gallery including PrideFest 2013, the West Allis Farmers Market and the Locust Street Festival in Riverwest. Just a small sampling of what our fair city has to offer.

Saturday | West Allis Farmer’s Market
Farmers markets are now in full swing and there are numerous options in and around the Milwaukee area. The West Allis Farmer’s Market is one of the largest with their permanent space at 65th and National. Now is the time to get your garden set with flowers and herbs to enjoy all summer long. The West Allis Farmers Market is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12pm-6pm and Saturdays from 1pm-6pm. Opening later in the day gives the farmer’s the opportunity to sell the freshest goods picked just that morning. Read about many of the area markets in TCD’s Farmer’s Market Guide.
Sunday | Locust Street Festival
The 37th Annual Locust Street Festival took place Sunday, June 9, which began with its annual Beer Run/Walk (A 1.8 mile route with four mandatory beer stops) at 11:30 a.m. sharp. There wasn’t any shortage of excitement after the beer run, with an all day non-stop music and dancing celebration, including 30 plus bands and six stages. Over 100 artists also provided entertainment, with live painting and artworks to be sold. Numerous jewelry and clothing vendors along with delicious food and beer stands also added to the lively day in Riverwest.
