TCD was there for the Grand Lighting ceremony event for the 4th annual Bay View Neighborhood Association-sponsored Halloween event outside the Humboldt Park Pavilion. After viewing the photos, however, you might wish you’d been there.

The free event began in earnest on Wednesday and Thursday with a series of carving sessions that concluded in the early evening on Friday with kids taking part. Inside the Pavilion, there were many games and even cupcakes from Hué Restaurant. Guests listened to the music of Vitrolum Republic and watched classic scary movies on an outdoor screen. This year even included hayrides.

The party continued Saturday with a Taste of Bay View (with area restaurants participating) and the music of the Dick Satan Trio. Spooky!

TCD photographer Jennell Jenney went to check it out. Our slideshow is below, or you can see the whole set at our flickr account here.

Kudos to the Bay View Neighborhood Association for the fantastic job they did this year! They help make Bay View a great place to live.
