Kicking off the 2010 Milwaukee Film Festival in style

The air (or better yet, the whipping wind) was abuzz on Thursday night as Milwaukeeans from near and far flocked to the historic Oriental Theatre. From 4 p.m. onward, the lobby was spilling over with anxious moviegoers for the much-anticipated opening night of the 2010 Milwaukee Film Festival, with the Milwaukee premiere of Derek Cianfrance’s tragic and tender Blue Valentine, and not to mention the glittering opening night gala at Discovery World.
TCD was there (but of course!) — Photo intern Matthew Dwyer captured the madness that was the Oriental Theatre and after the screening Photo Editor Brian Jacobson rubbed elbows with Milwaukee’s best, brightest and beautiful-est (that’s right) at the Discovery World soiree.
